The market has definitely turned the corner with the recently introduced US tax credits for customers who take up green technology or those who switch to energy efficient technology in heating and air conditioning equipment has resulted in consumers' renewed interest in spending money on their homes which consequently is helping revive the long-slumping market. There has been a marked increase in factory shipments of furnaces, central air conditioning systems and heat pumps in the last 2 quarters, reinforcing expectations and projections that since 2005, this will be the first year of growth for the $27 billion-a-year US residential market.
